Family Therapy

Single Session Therapy

Sometimes a one-time meeting can provide a focused set of strategies to help you address a specific goal. Single sessions of up to 90 minutes may help you make the most of your time and energy.

Holly Barrett Waldron, Ph.D.

Psychologist, Ph.D.

With more than 35 years of experience, I offer evidence-based treatments within a caring and supportive space. If you struggle with overwhelming emotions, intrusive thoughts, troubled relationships, or just feel stuck, therapy visits supplemented with texts and emails between visits can help you gain balance and sustain your progress. I am committed to your success as you strive for a healthier life and more satisfying relationships. I also provide supervision for interns, post-graduates, and professionals and offer training in Functional Family Therapy (FFT), cognitive behavioral therapies, and addictions treatment. I offer personalized, strengths-based psychological services for adolescents and adults, including cognitive behavioral therapies (eg CWD, ACT, ERP) for OCD, anxiety, trauma-related stress, depression, and addictive and disruptive behaviors. I also offer Functional Family Therapy, behavioral relationship therapy, and single-session therapy for brief issues. Supervision for interns and post-graduate clinicians is strengths-based and includes a supervision agreement, training materials and resources, individual weekly in-person or virtual meetings, weekly review of recorded therapy sessions, observation-based feedback to enhance skills, and a focus on theory and ethical principles as applied to clinical work.

I am a compassionate and accepting therapist who will use evidence-based strategies to help you discover new ways of thinking and interacting with the world that bring relief and build resilience. I have over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, using cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems approaches to working with individuals and families facing depression, disruptive behavior problems, emotional regulation, obsessions and compulsions, trauma, and substance abuse. I am trained in specific treatment models including Coping with Depression, Exposure Response Prevention, and Functional Family Therapy and have experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I am available for in-person and telehealth sessions with adults, children and adolescents, and couples. Let me introduce myself, my name is Katrina Maloney. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, at ln Balance Behavioral and Family Therapies. I have completed MA. Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), from Houston Christian University, Houston Texas. I attended my undergrad at the University of New Mexico. I am a local, i understand the cultural diversity presented in this beautiful state. My integrated theoretical style stems from a plethora of modalities, however, my main approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), And functional Family Therapy FFT My goal in practice is to leave people better then they came in.
